Education Outreach at Community Primary School in Anambra State, 2016
Education Program
The deplorable state of the children in the community school birthed the Educational Outreach in Oba. The majority of the children are from very low-income families whose parents could not afford Educational Materials. Before the project, students in the community lack educational materials like Maths and English texts and notebooks. Some of them go to school with torn uniforms and nylon bags as school bags. The project aims to provide educational support to needy students to enable them to excel in their academics. At the outreach, 150 students were given Maths and English textbooks, notebooks, and 50 students with school bags and school uniforms. STEM materials were also provided to the school to equip the school Library and allow the school to participate in STEM programs.
Testimonial
Mrs. Ibe, one of the teachers in the school: “Thank you for providing the students with the textbooks and notebooks. Most of them did not have Maths and English textbooks to study before now. They found it difficult to do their homework and prepare for continuous assessment. The materials provided will help them understand the topics taught in school, prepare well for their exams and do better academically”.
