Women Empowerment Program

The purpose of the widows’ empowerment outreach is to support and empower fifty widows in two Local Government Areas, Ehime Mbano and Onuimo in Imo State, with food items, clothing, and funds to scale up their businesses and improve their standard of living. At the end of the outreach, food items, clothing, and funds to scale up, their businesses were given to the widows. Participants of the outreach were taught essential business management and financial management skills.

One of the empowerment outreach participants stated that she was not making any profit selling yam and beans in her business. With the business skills and funds from the outreach, she will boost her business by purchasing a mechanized grinder to make yam flour to avoid any wastage. She thanked the team for its support and empowerment.
